PROJECT ENCORE™ Mission Statement

PROJECT ENCORE™is a mechanism, an evaluation process, and ultimately a seal of approval whereby new choral compositions can be evaluated by a blind panel of prominent conductors, and when chosen, be made available in the PROJECT ENCORE™ web-stored, keyword-searchable database for exploration and access by conductors throughout the world.

In short, PROJECT ENCORE™ seeks to:

  • Provide an evaluation process for new choral works that serves as a high-quality ‘seal of approval’ for works accepted into the PROJECT ENCORE™ database;
  • Provide a continually increasing body of repertoire to which conductors can turn for fresh material of pre-vetted quality, searchable by an extensive array of keywords and scoring elements;
  • Provide a complete sound file for each work in the searchable database, for use as a learning tool, if the performing conductor so chooses;
  • Pro-actively support and nurture the creative efforts of choral composers through greater potential for continued performance of their works; in essence, to become part of a composer’s marketing arm;
  • Potentially, impact the very nature of choral programming and performance through evaluating and making new works easily accessible.
