‘I was totally moved.’ --first-time audience member
Soloists from the critically-acclaimed choral ensemble, Schola Cantorum on Hudson (SCH), presented a medley of solo and ensemble works in a fully staged musical review as part of the Caldwell College Concert Series on Saturday, November 5th, at 8:00 PM, in the Caldwell College Alumni Theater. The next performance of 'Group Therapy' will be held in Manhattan on 1/21/2012 (venue to be determinded at this time). This annual Schola Sings Solo (SSS) Concert Series blends together musical theatre and operatic selections. In keeping with SCH’s theme this season, ‘Healing,’ the SSS show develops the cast as members of a group therapy session!
Audience members will recognize such selections as “Let the sunshine in,” from Hair, “Somewhere over the rainbow,” from Wizard of Oz, and the well-known “What a Wonderful World.” The ensemble, comprised of soloists from within Schola Cantorum on Hudson, is under the direction of Dan Yates, musically assisted by Warren Helms, and managed by Sara Livolsi.
General admission to the concert is $20. Students and seniors are $15. Tickets may be purchased in advance online at http://www.caldwell.edu/concertseries or at the door.
